What is the point in SEO, and what are the benefits?

A lot of people want to be at the top of Google’s searches. But, not everyone can be Number 1. In this post, I am going to tell you what the ‘point’ in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is, and what benefits it could bring to your company. Read on!

  1. Reaching your target niche – The most important reason for undertaking SEO for your website is to reach your target niche. There is no point having a nice fancy website if no-one is visiting it or even knows it’s there. SEO increases the number of visitors viewing your website, which in turn, will increase your sales.
  1. Building your online reputation – A properly optimized website increases customer loyalty to your business, as well as your brand awareness. A properly optimized website will also make it easy for your visitors to navigate their way around.
  1. Reaching Top 10 Search Results – A recent survey has shown that more around 90% of people do not go to the second page of the search results. This is why people use SEO, to try and get in the Top 10. If you can get into the Top 10, you will see your sales soar.
  1. The internet is global – The internet stretches out all over the world, so if you use SEO efficiently and get to Top 10 in the Search Engines, you will have BILLIONS of people seeing your link.
  1. Low investment, high growth – Making a website and implementing SEO can be relatively cheap, compared to how much money you could make and how fast your business could grow.
  1. Minimises risk – If you lose a few customers from your country or local area, the good news is that you will still have a lot of customers and prospective customers worldwide.
